Write in Nook. It becomes a page on the web with a feed anyone can follow, in Nook or in any other reader.
Not in Nook’s database. Each post is a record in a personal repository on the AT Protocol, the same kind of repository Bluesky accounts use. Nook reads those records and renders the pages and feeds that other people see.
The practical difference: the records are the original, and the website is a rendering of them. If Nook stopped existing tomorrow, the writing would not go with it. Another conforming service could publish the same records, and the contract describing how is public.

Deleting a post deletes the record, and the page and feed entry follow within two minutes. Deleting the account removes the repository. What other people have already copied is beyond anyone’s reach, and no service can honestly promise otherwise.
Publishing is invitation-only for now, while backup and deletion are being proved out on a small group. This is deliberate: an account whose recovery has not been rehearsed is not one to hand out widely.
